Old and Not So Pleasantly Plump

The older I get, the more my middle thickens. I was feeling very freakish until my Dr. informed me that at my age women start to get the stomach pooch. I was glad to hear that I am not alone-misery loves company. She told me I needed to exercise. Apparently walking to the refrigerator is not far enough. I sort of fibbed and told her I was walking a mile three times a week. She told me to get it up to three miles about four times a week. Okie dokie-so last night I walked about a mile and a half FOR REAL! It was so hot I thought I would melt. So all I have to do is double that amount and I am good to go.

Hi, Kathy. I've read a couple of your posts and have enjoyed them very much. I could really relate to this one (unfortunately) :) And I wish you lots of luck--as for me, I'm lucky to get in a mile or so a few times a week...so I guess I'll have to live with what I get. I do know that we should take care of ourselves, but finding the balance between that and not being obsessive seems to be hard to find--maybe it's just me. Anyway, I wish you the best and I'll keep checking your blog. I'm sorry for the days you are lonely...glad to know that you are able to share that and find peace. Nice to "meet" you and I many blessings!!
